Deconstructing the Genius: The Ultimate Kanye West Songs Tier List

Few artists in modern music history command a discography as polarizing, influential, and relentlessly shifting as Kanye West. Spanning over two decades, Ye’s catalogue has evolved from the chipmunk-soul blueprint of early 2000s hip-hop to industrial noise, stadium-sized pop, and gospel-infused stadium trap.

Because of this evolution, ranking Kanye songs into a tier list is practically a blood sport among music fans. Everyone’s list looks different depending on whether they fell in love with the soulful backpacker of 2004 or the sonic anarchist of 2013.
